3.2.3 Project Time Management

The Project Time Management Knowledge Area has seven processes, also shown in Figure 3-8:

  • Plan Schedule Management (Planning process group)
  • Define Activities (Planning process group)
  • Sequence Activities (Planning process group)
  • Estimate Activity Resources (Planning process group)
  • Estimate Activity Durations (Planning process group)
  • Develop Schedule (Planning process group)
  • Control Schedule (Monitoring and Controlling process group)

Project Time Management knowledge area as the name implies is concerned with timely completion of the project.  Activity duration, sequence, and resource estimations are rolled into the project schedule which is continually updated and monitored against deviations.
